Visit of the member of parliament Yahya AlEthawi, Member of the Committee of Economy and Investment in the Iraqi Parliament to Etihad Food Industries Co. Ltd.
The member of parliament Yahya AlEthawi visited Etihad Food Industries Co. Ltd. at Babil and took around in the packing and production buildings for sugar and edible oil refineries and he expressed his admiration for the used technologies and the applied system in the work and he wished success for Etihad in her works.
Sugar refinery has a current production capacity of 3600 tons of refined white sugar per day and this capacity covering all the demand of Iraqi MOT and local market and already exported 125,000 tons to the neighbouring countries and Etihad expect that the export quantities will increase in the next year.
Edible oil refinery has initial production capacity of 2000 tons of refined edible oil per day and it's enough to cover all the demand of Iraqi MOT and local market.
Etihad has contribution of increasing the available jobs in Iraq and save the foreign currency inside the country.
